How to generate custom QR codes

1. Write your custom message. You can insert variable information such as student or parent names to customise your message.

2. You can have multiple custom messages per student.

3. Select students from your student list and simply click "Generate QR codes" to download a single PDF for all students.

How to use QR codes

1. Print your generated QR code PDF and provide the codes to your students. You can stick it on their workbook, for example.

2. Scan each student's code at the appropriate time with your phone. For example, when a student finishes class.

3. The QR code will auto-populate the custom message on your phone's SMS app. "Hey Joe, Olivia is ready for pick up at ...". Click send.

4. You can have multiple codes for different situations for every student.

5. Since you are using your own phone, no SMS charges apply if you are on an unlimited phone plan. No additional hardware required.

How to view and manage class occupancy

1. Create class sessions within Kiwiberry (e.g. Math Monday 9-10am).

2. Assign class sessions to your students.

3. You can filter students by class sessions to manage them.

4. View the occupancy charts on your Dashboard. These show you how many students you have in class at any one time.

5. Make appropriate plans to avoid over-crowding and optimise staffing.
